Chloë Moretz was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 10, 1997. Her mother, Teri, is a nurse, and her father, McCoy Lee Moretz, is a plastic surgeon and has four older siblings; Brandon, Trevor (being her representative), Colin and Ethan In 2002 she moved to New York after Trevor entered the Professional School of Performing Arts; This attracted Moretz’s attention to acting instantly.Her career in Hollywood began when the family moved to Los Angeles in 2004.
Chloë Moretz has expressed her intention to establish a well-defined separation between her professional career (premieres and filming) and her personal life, which she describes as a happy life and with great support from her family. 
Since 2014, she has had a relationship with Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of the couple David Beckham and Victoria Beckham.

It would not be until October of that year when Chloë would start another important project, The 5th Wave, a production of Graham King and Tobey Maguire backed by Sony again. It is a juvenile science fiction saga based on Rick Yancey’s best seller. In it Chloë plays the protagonist of the saga Cassie Sullivan. In 2015 she also participated in another film adaptation, the thriller November Criminals, with Ansel Elgort, as well as Brain on Fire, a drama based on the life of the journalist Susannah Cahalan that was wrongly diagnosed as a brain disease. During the summer of 2015, Chloë filmed the second part of Malditos vecinos, a production by Seth Rogen, along with Zac Efron, Rose Byrne, Selena Gomez and Rogen himself. At the end of 2015 it was confirmed that she would play Ariel in the film adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic The Little Mermaid, which will be directed by Rebecca Thomas.

Apart from the big screen, she has also acted in television productions being in 2004 with The Guardian her debut as an actress. Between that year and 2010 she was active sporadically in series like My name is Earl, The Emperor’s New School, Desperate Housewives (in the latter she was nominated for a Young Artist) and in the TV movie: Family Plan where she would act with Leslie Nielsen although her scenes were eliminated.
