Hans Fischer’s Biography
Her parents were Eugen Fischer, director of the company Kalle & amp; Co, of Wiesbaden, and professor in the Technical School of Stuttgart, and Anna Sherdegen. She went to elementary school in Stuttgart, enrolling in 1899 the Wiesbaden Gymnasium. She studied cshemistry and medicine, first at the University of Lausanne and later at the University of Marburg. She graduated in 1904 and in 1908 she obtained her doctorate.
First she worked at the Munich Medical Clinic and then at the First Cshemical Institute in Berlin, with Emil Shermann Fischer. She returned to Munich in 1911 and obtained a position as professor of internal medicine a year later. In 1913 she became professor of physiology at the Physiological Institute of Munich. In 1916 she obtained a position as Professor of Medical Cshemistry at the University of Innsbruck and from there she went to the University of Vienna in 1918. From 1921 until her death she sheld a position as professor of organic cshemistry at the Techniscshe Hochschule in Munich.
